Office Depot 40% Off Coupon!

This is a pretty awesome coupon at Office Depot vaild only tomorrow 1/15/11! There are a few restrictions, so read the fine print carefully. But it looks like you could use it on most ink (except HP). I wouldn't normally buy anything at Office Depot, however, to get 40% off ink is an insane deal and I'm going to use that opportunity to stock up, since you will use a lot of ink when you coupon like the sensei.

Click the link above and go get your savings!

Free Special K at Rite-Aid!

Ok, for those of you who like cereal I was able to get a pretty awesome deal today at Rite-Aid.

By using this coupon for Special K, you can get two boxes of Special K cereal for free at Rite-Aid. Its on sale right now for BOGO (buy 1 get 1 free), and this coupon is also BOGO. So when you combine this coupon with their sale, it makes both boxes FREE. I know, its kind of confusing, but it works! And this is for the Rite-Aids out here in the Carolinas. I don't know if they are on sale for those of you in the Pacific Northwest, but its worth a try.

Print the coupon and go enjoy! I love the chocolate one. :)

Quick Trip Today... BIG Savings!

Just a small trip today, but I'm happy with what items I received!

Basically, everything Christmas is on sale at Rite-Aid for 75% off right now. These rock fountain garden things were included in the 75% off. The large one was $10 before sale, so $2.50 after. The small one was $5.99 and only $1.50 after sale. INSANE!!! I bought these as I figured they would make great gifts to someone throughout the year. The other item was some Christmas candy for a friend, and some household scrubbers that I had a coupon for.

Total before coupons - $20.39
Total out of pocket after coupons and previous UP+ rewards - $1.89
Savings - $18.50 (90.7%)

I like being able to do nice things for people and these gifts will come in very handy, and practically free!
What a great day!

Sunday Drug Store Adventures, Trip #2

In my previous post I mentioned that I went back to Walgreens for a second trip later in the day. Well, this trip was EXCELLENT! I was able to get a bunch of cat litter, some clearance cologne (CK One which is my favorite) and some more laundry detergent!

Had I not purchased the cologne, I would have basically purchased the two packages of dishwasher detergent for nothing, as with the coupon and RR I made a $0.74 profit on each. The 4 containers of Tidy Cat came out to $1.00 for 4 of them (plus tax), so $0.25 each before tax.

I love couponing :)

Total before coupons - $44.92
Total out of pocket after coupons and Register Rewards - $14.42
Savings - $30.50 or 68%!

So when you add up today's two trips, here's how I'm doing for the year (after only 2 days mind you)

Total YTD purchases before coupons - $164.25
Total YTD out of pocket after coupons/rebates - $30.50
Savings - $133.75 (81.4%)

Sunday Drug Store Adventures - Trip #1

I love Sundays because I hit the three big drug stores around here. CVS, Rite-Aid and Walgreens. Usually I get lots of great deals on other items besides food, such as toothpaste, deodorant, vitamins, etc. Today was no exception! I actually made a second trip later in the afternoon because I found out about another great deal when I looked through today's Smart Source insert and found a high value $2.25 off Finish Detergent coupon. See my second post for second trip today.

Here's what I got on my first trip this morning.

Rite-Aid was having a huge 75% off clearance on their Christmas stuff, so I got George a few things that I didn't even have a coupon for! Overall I did very well, and here's a rundown of the important items I purchased:

Walgreens
(1) Omega 3 Fish Oil Gels
(1) Finish Dishwasher Detergent

Total before coupons - $14.43
Total out of pocket after coupons and Register Rewards - $1.93

Savings - $12.50 or 86.6%!

CVS
(1) GE Energy Smart Lightbulb
(2) Viactiv Calcium Chews (B1G1 Free)
(4) Excedrin

Total before coupons - $37.32
Total out of pocket after coupons and Extra Care Bucks - $6.84
Savings - $30.48 or 81.7%!
Rite-Aid
(2) Wet Ones antibacterial wipes
(1) Centrum vitamins
(1) Gas-X
And a whole bunch of Christmas clearance items...

Total before coupons - $29.74
Total out of pocket after coupons and +UP/SCR Rewards - $0.74
Savings - $29.00 or 97.5%!

All in all a very good day, and its all items we will use!
